It’s only 3 May and the roses are already covered in aphids. This is not a good omen. I read somewhere recently that it is going to be a really bad year for aphids, slugs and snails and it looks like they were right. Out with the soapy water spray!

I am surprised they think it will be a bad year for slugs and snails as it is really quite dry. I havent noticed any aphids on my roses yet but I have been distracted by badger damage – AGAIN!
Yuckk..hope you will get rid them soon.
Looks like a good squwidge is needed!
